Have you had a propane stove running at home, or seen it at another household? Have you ever seen a petrol or diesel cooker? Of course not, they release much more pollution and any person cooking with diesel or petrol would suffocate, and also the food won't taste very good. Propane on the other hand burns clean, is non-toxic and is thus a great deal more eco-friendly. Particularly considering petrol or diesel generators don't have catalytic converters to clean up their exhaust gas like cars do.
Propane greenhouse gas pollution levels are 1.55kg of CO2 per liter. Compare that to gas or diesel which release 2.31kg and 2.68kg CO2 per liter respectively.
